Prov 6-10

8 Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you;
      Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you.
       9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser;
      Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.

The value of a teachable spirit.

Prov 1-5

30 They would have none of my counsel
      And despised my every rebuke.

Seek correction. Desire it. Expect it.

Psalm 146-150

6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
         And a two-edged sword in their hand

Spiritual warfare must flow from relationship with the Captain of the army.

2 Timothy 1

7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Its good to remember what God gave us in the midst of the other stuff we've got

12 For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.

Who matters more than what.
------------------

Psalm 141-145

 My shield and the One in whom I take refuge,
         Who subdues my people[c] under me.

Leadership with that revelation will be free to release the people without feeling the need to control.
------------------

1 Timothy 6

11 But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.

The context is the love of money. The safest thing is to give it all away.
------------------

Psalm 136-140

18 And slew famous kings,
         For His mercy endures forever—
 19 Sihon king of the Amorites,
         For His mercy endures forever

Their only fame now is because they're in the book. The only fame there will be in the future is for those in the Lamb's book of who's who.

1 Timothy 5

1 Do not rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father, younger men as brothers

Correction must be given in the context of genuinely loving relationship.

Psalm 131-135

1 LORD, my heart is not haughty,
         Nor my eyes lofty.
         Neither do I concern myself with great matters,
         Nor with things too profound for me.

 2 Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul,
         Like a weaned child with his mother;
         Like a weaned child is my soul within me.

THE GOD OF SMALL THINGS

1 Behold, bless the LORD,
         All you servants of the LORD,
         Who by night stand in the house of the LORD!

NIGHT VISION
------------------

Aww Poor Dagon...

"1 After the Philistines captured the Ark of God, they took it from the battleground at Ebenezer to the town of Ashdod. 2 They carried the Ark of God into the temple of Dagon and placed it beside an idol of Dagon. 3 But when the citizens of Ashdod went to see it the next morning, Dagon had fallen with his face to the ground in front of the Ark of the Lord! So they took Dagon and put him in his place again. 4 But the next morning the same thing happened—Dagon had fallen face down before the Ark of the Lord again. This time his head and hands had broken off and were lying in the doorway. Only the trunk of his body was left intact."
NLT 1 Samuel 5

This story is such a picture of how everything, including statues, fall before God.

I interpret this verse as all our troubles and worries fall face down broken before God. In other words, live with him and they will fall at your feet, due to God being with you.

Psalm 127-130

 4 But there is forgiveness with You,
         That You may be feared.

Clearing our debts should create honour in our hearts.

1 Tim 4

exercise yourself toward godliness. 8 For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.

Work out your salvation like a workout.

Psalms 121-126

1 Those who trust in the LORD
         Are like Mount Zion,
         Which cannot be moved, but abides forever.

Unshakeable!

6 He who continually goes forth weeping,
         Bearing seed for sowing,
         Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing,
         Bringing his sheaves with him.

You got to put in the hours to enjoy the flowers.

1 Tim 3

6 not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil.

Failure makes character, but true failure takes time.

Psalms 118-120

165 Great peace have those who love Your law,
         And nothing causes them to stumble.

No stumbling if you love the word. At least not by your own fault (Jesus stumbled, but it was not His fault).

3 But our God is in heaven;
         He does whatever He pleases.

God is not accountable to us.

1 Tim 1

2 To Timothy, a true son in the faith:

Grace, mercy, and peace from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

Even true sons need mercy.

2 Thes 3

14 And if anyone does not obey our word in this epistle, note that person and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed. 15 Yet do not count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

Benediction

16 Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.

Confrontation...Peace.

2 Thes 2

3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin[b] is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God[c] in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

The end of history.

         I will awaken the dawn.

Good idea. Easier now the days are getting shorter.

1 Thes 5

16 Rejoice always

Recognise and respond always.
------------------

Psalms 100-102

5 For the LORD is good;
         His mercy is everlasting,
         And His truth endures to all generations.

All the preceding commands to enter His presence with thanksgiving only make sense as a response to the above revelation. Worship starts with seeing Jesus.

1 Thes 4

4 that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor,

I am well able to possess the land! But I must choose.

Ps 97-99

 8 Let the rivers clap their hands;
         Let the hills be joyful together
          9 before the LORD,
         For He is coming to judge the earth.
         With righteousness He shall judge the world,
         And the peoples with equity

Judgement is so often associated in our minds with punishment, rather than justice and restoration: God's judgement is meant to bring joy.
